Business Development Executive

geoConvergence is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Business Development Executive to join our award-winning SBA 8(a) and HUBZone certified small business. We are a full-service geospatial services company with a proven track record. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing strategies, and cultivating relationships with potential clients and partners in the State, Local, Education and Commercial markets.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and identify potential clients and partners that align with the company’s goals and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within the federal market to promote geoConvergence’s services and solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align efforts and ensure seamless execution of federal business development initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and pitches to prospective federal clients, effectively communicating the value proposition of geoConvergence’s offerings.
  • Negotiate and secure new business contracts with federal clients, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Represent geoConvergence at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities related to the federal market to enhance brand visibility and explore new business prospects.
  • Monitor and report on business development activities, pipeline, and forecasts, providing regular updates to the leadership.
  • Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices in the federal space to ensure geoConvergence remains competitive and innovative.


Qualifications

  • High preference to candidates experienced with geospatial/GIS technologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the government sector or technology/professional services industry.
  • Proven track record of successful business development in the state, local and education sectors, including identifying and closing new business opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools (Hubspot) and business intelligence software.
    Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Understanding of procurement processes and regulations is a plus.

Business Manager

About the Role
We’re a small company seeking a part-time to full-time hands-on Business Manager to independently manage our daily operations. This role requires someone who is highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working autonomously to keep our business running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of daily operations including scheduling, office management, inventory tracking, and supplier coordination while maintaining organized systems and documentation.
  • Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, responding to emails, processing mail, maintaining filing systems, and managing office supplies to ensure smooth business operations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, maintain financial records, track expenses, and coordinate with external accountants while ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all transactions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, vendors, and service providers while maintaining professional relationships and resolving any operational issues that arise.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in business operations or office management
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with bookkeeping and basic financial management
 

Required Skills

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software
  • Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Problem-solving and independent decision-making capabilities
